Brief Description

  • Live online training for service engineers who want to understand the design, operation and maintenance of Jenbacher gas engine modules.

Target Group

  • Field Techs for the Jenbacher product portfolio who need detailed product knowledge for their daily jobs. This training is a prerequisite for the course module ‘FTA - Advanced Field Tech Training’ and ‘MR - Maintenance & Repair Training’.

Theoretical and practical contents

  • Engine and engine components - engine type 2, 3, 4 & 6
  • Operation materials and corresponding TAs – cooling water, gas, engine oil
  • P & ID and wiring diagrams (identification of components, cooling water, gas and engine oil circuit; design of control cabinets
  • Components of gas trains
  • Engine control system (speed, power, island and LEANOX controller, level 15/20 parameters, gas mixer)
  • Engine management system DIA.NE XT - level 15/20 (DIA.NE XT versions, technical specification, trouble shooting)
  • Ignition system spark plugs and ignition coils
  • Knocking (knocking controller, cylinder optimizing)
  • Introduction to inspection and maintenance tasks according to the maintenance schedules

Participation in this training course will give you

  • a good general overview of the Jenbacher gas engines technology
  • a basic understanding of design criteria for peripheral equipment that is necessary for a CHP plant
  • the knowledge required for a successful operation of the Jenbacher gas engine equipment in manual and automatic modes as well as to operate the different DIA.NE XT generations at password level 15/20
  • guidance on regular maintenance tasks according to the 10k Oph maintenance schedule
  • an insight into the structure of a Jenbacher gas engines module and the terminologies for the individual components

  • Course duration: 25 training units of 60 minutes each
  • Languages: German or English; other languages on request or through an interpreter
  • Min. 5 participants, max. 8 participants

Prerequisites

  • Education in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • IT knowledge (Windows, Office, Internet, web conferencing tools)
  • eTraining ´FTB part 1’, ‘FTB part 2’ and ‘FTB part 3’ must be completed before the training starts
  • eTraining ‘DIA.NE XT4 Basics’ must be completed before the training starts
  • Headset, webcam and stable internet connection
