Brief Description

  • Advanced training for operators who want to carry out extended maintenance tasks at type 6 engines (excluding type 624 engines). Please contact your local Service representative to find out if you meet the criteria to attend this course.

Target Group

  • Customers and operating staff of Jenbacher gas engines who need detailed knowledge about regular maintenance according to maintenance schedule or employees from other functions such as service managers or spare parts managers. Please contact your local Service representative to find out if you meet the criteria to attend this course.

Theoretical and practical contents

  • engine and module structure of engine type 6
  • generator coupling
  • change of rubber coupling disc
  • changing of cylinder heads, cylinder liners, pistons, con rods, prechamber
  • change vibration damper
  • change crankshaft seal ring
  • main, con rod and thrust bearings
  • maintenance of gas mixer (potentiometer and servomotor)
  • handling of special tools (mobile crane, hydraulic tools) - EXCEPT change of flywheel hub flange
  • over/undersized engine parts
  • change of throttle valve bearings
  • re-commissioning after completion of maintenance tasks

Participation in this training course will give you

  • the necessary knowledge to carry out extended maintenance tasks according to the maintenance schedule for operators

  •       • Minimum of 5 and maximum of 6 people

Prerequisites

  • 'OPT - Operator Training' completed
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering is recommended
  • Participants must bring their own safety boots
  • Participants should bring a laptop to access online material
