Brief Description

  • This one-day training course, conducted by DUNGS, provides the basic content for safe and compliant work on gas pressure control systems. The participants receive a comprehensive overview of the basics in a theoretical part. In the practical part, certain problems are solved by the participants on a throttle control section.

Target Group

  • The training is aimed at service technicians who have been assigned the role of "Gas Train Specialist".

Theoretical and practical contents

  • The classroom training offers a comprehensive mix of theory and practice on all aspects of safe working on gas pressure control systems and gas systems. Participants will be introduced to the basics of combustion and receive a detailed theoretical part on the structure, maintenance and function of a gas pressure control system and its components.
  • One focus of the training is on the practical steps of maintenance: Participants learn under guidance how to replace a gas filter, how to commission and test the function of a safety shut-off valve (SAV), how to carry out a closing pressure test on the pressure regulator and how to test automatic shut-off valves. In the further course, the focus is on troubleshooting the gas system – here typical fault patterns and their elimination are dealt with in a practical way.
  • Finally, there are in-depth units on automatic shut-off valves (MBE) and on the basics of the Adicomp compressor. The training is structured in such a way that the participants can expand and consolidate both their theoretical knowledge and their practical skills in a targeted manner.
